12/21/2023 0 Comments Project 007 e3 2021Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2įinal Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 is undoubtedly one of Square Enix's most anticipated upcoming games. It's clear Nintendo has bought itself some time with that announcement, but we still eagerly await the day when we'll hear more about Metroid Prime 4. While it didn't have anything new to show, we did get details about an all-new 2D entry in the series called Metroid Dread. In the Nintendo Direct that took place during E3 2021, Nintendo's Shinya Takahashi said the company is still hard at work on Metroid Prime 4. We've also heard small news of famous developer talent joining and re-joining Retro Studios throughout the years, which bodes well for the upcoming game. In 2019, Nintendo announced that while the game is still in active development, it had to restart the process entirely, proceeding now in collaboration with Retro Studios-the studio behind the original Metroid Prime Trilogy. That's not to say we haven't received any development updates around the project. It's wild to think that nothing has been shown from the game in nearly four years, and even wilder to realize that 2017 is also the year the Switch was initially released. This game was announced at E3 2017, but we've seen little else aside from its logo ever since. If there's one game we haven't heard from in the longest of times, it's Nintendo's Metroid Prime 4. Otherwise, read on for all the games missing from the show. You can also read our E3 2021 recap, or check out our roundup of the best trailers. Below we highlight all the biggest games that were missing from E3 2021. There are still many heavily anticipated games that we've been waiting to hear more about for some time now. The industry event gave us some exciting new glimpses at the biggest upcoming games, but not everything we know about got a chance in the spotlight. Although the wait for fans will be tough, this is mostly positive, as it will allow developers the opportunity to get the new technology presented by platforms such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X under their belt, giving them the experience necessary to create an adventure befitting the whip-cracking, Nazi-smacking archaeologist.E3 2021 has come and gone. Speaking candidly, Hines told Gamespot’s Tamoor Hussain that Indiana Jones was still in the “very, very, very early stages of development”, almost going as far as to suggest that signing the license and releasing the teaser trailer might be all that the studio has to tangibly offer right now.įrom Hines’ comments, one would speculate that Indiana Jones - clearly a title the studio and publisher would put all of its weight behind - remains several years off, likely arriving deep into the present generation. Pete Hines, Bethesda’s Senior VP of global marketing, was interviewed by Gamespot yesterday, who took the opportunity to quiz the executive on the development of Indy’s newest digital adventure. While this is completely understandable - they were all only recently announced, after all - it seems that one particular title is still a long way out from seeing the sun: MachineGames’s Indiana Jones. These include Io Interactive’s Project 007, Ubisoft’s Star Wars RPG, and Free Radical’s new TimeSplitters. There was a string of recently announced major releases that were not heavily featured during E3. You might need The Holy Grail to actually play it
